The Dark Systems DarkMesh Ultra MANET K9 Camera System is a next-generation tactical communication and surveillance platform designed for law enforcement and military working dog teams operating in the most demanding environments. Developed through five years of research, field testing, and direct collaboration with military operators, DarkMesh Ultra delivers a rugged, MIL-STD-compliant solution that enhances handler awareness, canine communication, and mission effectiveness.

More than just a camera, the DarkMesh Ultra is an intelligent embedded system capable of managing live video, audio, data, and power through a modular architecture built for current and future mission requirements. Designed for seamless integration with standardized operational equipment, it also serves as a central hub capable of controlling mission accessories such as the Dark Systems Lightstick Dropper, Payload Dropper, and additional compatible modules.

The advanced optronic suite includes a high-sensitivity HD color camera with infrared responsiveness, a powerful thermal infrared camera, selectable white and infrared illumination, and a dedicated strobe mode. All lighting functions are independently controlled and dimmable from 0 to 100%, allowing handlers to optimize visibility for changing operational conditions. Both camera systems are customizable to meet mission-specific requirements.

DarkMesh Ultra streams live HD video and audio back to the handler at distances up to approximately 450 meters and integrates directly with ATAK for real-time situational awareness. Its Push-to-Talk capability enables two-way audio communication, allowing handlers to issue voice commands while also listening to environmental sounds or suspect activity. When mounted to the DarkFighter K9 Helmet, the system connects to the helmet's active hearing protection to deliver discreet voice commands while reducing the team's overall noise signature.

The waterproof camera module mounts securely to compatible K9 gear using MOLLE and hook-and-loop attachments, providing a durable, field-ready solution that withstands harsh operational environments while maintaining comfort and mobility for the working dog.
